We are currently seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to drive financial strategy and operations. Reporting to Chief Executive Officer (CEO), serving as a strategic partner. This position will support our leaders in providing timely financial, commercial and management advice. Your key priorities will be: Leadership, Strategy, and Business Performance & Growth. Translate strategic vision into an operational framework and collaborate within the SLT to develop and lead the implementation of Norths strategic plan to grow and strengthen the business. Financial Management. Oversee and manage the financial operations of the business, including financial performance reports, budget analysis, profitability analysis, and cash flow planning and management. Projects. Oversee financial and risk management aspects of a range of current and future projects including comprehensive business case development, feasibility evaluation, and post project performance assessment. Compliance & Risk. Prepare and monitor Norths Risk Register, ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, as well as strengthen the incumbent risk and compliance framework. Relationships and Communication. Manage and build key internal and external stakeholders as well as maintaining effective communication. Team Leadership. Inspire, lead, and mentor a team of direct and indirect reports setting clear behaviour and standard requirements. The Candidate. The successful candidate will have the following attributes: Tertiary qualifications in finance, and CPA or CA. At least ten (10) years' recent experience as a finance professional, with demonstrable excellence in managing finance and compliance in a regulated industry. Strong skills in financial management, strategic planning, risk management, and compliance. Skilled in examining, developing, re-engineering and recommending financial policies and procedures. Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to build relationships across all business units and levels. Strong skills in building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships. Exposure to the hospitality industry is desirable.
